Throughout my career, I have held diverse roles that have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of policing and criminal investigations. I have over 18 years of dedicated service having started in the Police in 2007. I draw from extensive experience in modern Policing and proven leadership, having held several supervisor roles, and all the while maintaining a deep commitment to my core role as a police officer. My background includes frontline response policing, public order operations, custody management as well as serious and complex investigations.
As a Police Custody Sergeant, I maintained legal compliance, safeguarded detainee welfare, and managed the high-pressure environment of a busy custody suite. This honed my experience of risk assessment, decision-making, and procedural integrity and ensured custody operations ran efficiently while upholding the standards of care and accountability.
Most recently, my tenure as a Detective Sergeant, within Domestic Abuse and CID teams allowed me to manage serious, complex and sensitive investigations, delivering positive outcomes and maintaining the highest standards of investigative. These experiences have honed my skills in risk assessment, evidence management, and strategic decision-making.
